When using The Chair Store website, you are agreeing to be bound by and comply with the following terms and conditions. This agreement does not affect your statutory rights. The content of The Chair Store website is subject to change without customer/user notice.

Your use of any purchase from this company is entirely at your own risk and The Chair Store Ltd cannot be liable; users of our website must bear the risks which are associated with use of the internet and internet retail. Unauthorised use of our website is a criminal offence and any offender shall be prosecuted by the law. These Terms and Conditions; along with your use of this website; are governed by English Law and as such you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English Court.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If you would like to know more about your statutory rights as a consumer, you may wish to consult your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau.

We may change these terms and our prices from time to time without notice to users and customers.

Payment Online

The Chair Store accepts payment online via PayPal.

When you place an order on The Chair Store website, you will receive a confirmation email of your order and payment; one from The Chair Store Ltd and one from PayPal. This is to indicate that we have received your order, and that payment has been received.

Due to the nature of internet retail, your card is charged the full amount at the point of sale. You are encouraged to keep a print out of your order and any payment confirmation as a record of the transaction.

Online Security and Privacy

The Chair Store Ltd will never hold any card information as all transactions are procesed through PayPal

In the unlikely event that The Chair Store Ltd does have to handle a hard copy of your card details, they will be destroyed immediately after the transaction is complete.

By placing an order with The Chair Store you agree to let us hold your personal information on file; this is only accessible by our staff. No payment details are ever stored. As required by the Data Protection Act 1998, we follow a tight security schedule to protect your data from unauthorized access. 

If you are concerned or unsure about any information that we hold about you, please contact us to discuss your concerns.

The Chair Store only discloses buyers’ information to third parties when it is necessary for an order to be fulfilled for example delivery information. These third parties will not disclose your information to any other organizations. We are dedicated to protecting your privacy, and we do not sell, trade or rent any of your personal details unless given express permission to do so. The information that we collect is done so lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

No personal information entered by a user is stored by any organization other than The Chair Store Ltd.

If we cannot accept payment for an item due to security concerns regarding the card used, we will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to try and resolve the issue.

In extraneous circumstances, we will inform you of our intention to cancel and refund the order in the most direct means available.

Discontinuations or Unavailability

In the case of a customer ordering a product that has been discontinued yet is inadvertently still available for purchase on our site; one of our team will get in touch as soon as possible to arrange a refund or a replacement item of similar value, and any extra payment or refund that may be incurred.

Delivery & Handling

We aim to dispatch your order within 1-2 working days of payment of your purchase and deliver within 2-3 working days. (Subject to availability)

Once your order is ready to be dispatched, our delivery team will contact you to book a suitable date and time for delivery.

Deliveries are made between 7:00am and 6:00 pm Monday to Friday and will require signing for. Weekend deliveries will incur an additional surcharge.

The Chair Store will not be liable for any consequential loss due to a late or failed delivery.

You will be provided with a tracking reference once your delivery has been dispatched.

Deliveries are to ground floor only this includes flats & apartments.

The couriers do not remove any packaging

Once you receive your delivery, please check to ensure you have received the correct number of boxes as stated on the delivery note. Also check the boxes for any visible signs of damage that may have occurred during transit. This is a rare occurrence, but if you do notice any damage, please write the issue(s) on the delivery note before signing for your delivery and take photos if possible.

Free delivery to most UK Mainland post codes. The following post codes will incur an additional delivery surcharge:

Scottish Highlands and Islands (HS, IV, KA27 KA28, KW, PA20 to 49, PA60 to 78, PH17 to 26, PH30 to 44, PH49 to 50, and ZE)

Please contact us for confirmation or if you require delivery to a destination outside these fields and we will try and find solution.

All orders will be delivered through a courier and need to be signed for upon delivery. Delivery is only to the ground floor this includes flats & apartments.


Once you unpack your delivery, please check to ensure you have received the correct item(s). If there is an issue, please contact us as soon as possible.

If you notice that your purchase is damaged, please notify us within 3 days of delivery so we can arrange to make the collection. Damaged products will be collected at no charge to you and will be replaced as quickly as possible. When notifying us of the damaged product(s), please include your name, order number, photos of the damage or fault and a photo of the batch number which can be found on the bottom of the chair. Items must be returned in their original, unused condition and packaging.

If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. Please include the order number, your name, and the reason for your return.

When returning items, it is your responsibility to ensure that the goods are suitably packaged and in the same condition as they arrived, ready for collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us and this causes damage or deterioration of the products, we will charge you for the reduction in value. Collections will be arranged after we have confirmed the return is acceptable.

Please note our delivery and collections are an all-day service and we are not able to advise specific delivery times in advance.

Once items have been received by us and are deemed to be in their original, unused condition and packaging, as they were at the time of delivery, we will process a refund within 5 days to the same method used for your purchase. Returned items will be refunded at the amount you paid, minus the following

cost of collection. Collection costs are approximately £17.00 to £25.00 per box of chairs and up to £55.00 for heavier furniture items plus £10.00 admin fee

Re-Stocking fee 8% of the invoice total.

Any surcharges originally paid will not be refunded.

The following post codes may incur an additional collection charge: Scottish Highlands and Islands (HS, IV, KA27 KA28, KW, PA20 to 49, PA60 to 78, PH17 to 26, PH30 to 44, PH49 to 50, and ZE)

The cost of collection will be advised to you prior to collection.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange if:

  1. We did not receive notification in writing of unwanted items within 3 days of you receiving the delivery.
  2. Self-assembly or full/part assembly of products has taken place. Please fully check your item prior to assembly. Any replacement of shortages to self-assembly products will be supplied free of charge.
  3. We did not receive notification of damaged or faulty items within 3 days of you receiving the delivery.
  4. The items have been used or marked.
  5. Variations in colour, please see “Request Fabric Sample” Tab for further details
  6. Item too big or small, please check “Product Dimensions” before purchasing.

*Your statutory rights are not affected.

Fabric Color Disclaimer

Due to the many variations in monitors and browsers, Images may appear different on different monitors. Computer monitors are not all calibrated equally, color and materials reproduction on the Internet is not precise.

Since it is not possible to guarantee our online Images will look the same on all computers, we do not guarantee that what you see accurately portrays the color or materials of the actual product.

We do our very best to make sure our images are as close to the exact product as possible but cannot guarantee that what you see is an exact likeness. In most cases the images on line will work for most people If it is important that the product be exact, it is highly recommended that you order a fabric sample first, before placing an order.

After you receive your fabric samples, keep in mind that even the actual sample can have minimal color variations from the finished product. They may vary slightly from the actual product as there are also dye lot changes in the material, and we cannot be responsible for these differences.

Getting the correct colour and feel of your chosen fabric is important to us here at The Chair Store.

We believe that this makes the purchasing of your furniture easier and inspires you more when designing and colour scheming your room.

We offer a FREE FABRIC SAMPLE SERVICE so that you can get the colour or material exactly how you want it.

We offer a 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee on all our products.

We guarantee our products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship that result in failure during normal usage for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery

The guarantee does not apply to general wear and tear, furniture intentionally misused or to damage resulting from negligence, exposure, rental or commercial use, improper cleaning, unreasonable use or failure due to additional chemical treatment, or when heavy soiling or abuse is evident.

In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify any fault.
